Character Based Research

I want to set my character in the future, with a manic, crowded and busy environment, with so much going on. i want my character to live in a  dystopian world/city that is so chaotic that the only way you can survive is to look out for yourself.  

Dystopian Worlds 

These are just some dystopian films and games that i gathered together to help me with my research into a dystopian city and what type of environments and place in time my character should i set her in. I want my character based in a city that is very over crowed, rough and urban. I also want it set in the future, not to far into the future that there is aliens, about 150-200 years from now, that technology has expanded so much and that everything is gray concrete.

Setting my character in this time and theses environment means i need to capture the surroundings in the way she looks, not so much in the way she dresses but how she looks physically, is she going to stand out with very strong features or is she going to have soft facial features. This is my next part i need to figure out with my character.
